Sort My House are a multi-location service AND product based business with teams of Professional Organisers  in Tauranga, Hamilton, Taupo, Auckland and Christchurch. They deliver Professional Organising services to free up time, physical space and headspace for NZ families. They also sell an amazing product range that makes bringing order to chaos a reality.  

Sort My House has proactively grown both the service and product arms of the business over the past few years. With increasing turnover, multi-location inventory, a full blown Shopify store and a steady stream of imported and semi-manufactured products…it became apparent that it was time for a system upgrade

As a business owner Angela needed to know the landed cost of imported goods, measure the true assembled cost of products requiring light manufacturing, have a firm grasp on the quantity and value of stock on hand, have visibility over locations of stock, and also have an eye to what is arriving in the future of various SKUs. Added to that, with the website becoming core to the business, there was the need for a Shopify integration.

Sort My House had already worked with Heidi to consult on the automation and integration of some of their processes, as well as in an ongoing coaching and consulting capacity. So it was a good fit to work together again, on the implementation of Unleashed

Sort My House has achieved the following through implementing Unleashed

  • Embedding the Purchase Order process into their Stock Management system 

  • Achieving a true landed cost taking into account foreign currency rates, freight and import costs - so an accurate margin can be seen

  • Having greater insight into the assembled cost of products that require a combination of products and labour

  • A better represented P&L and Balance Sheet in Xero with Cost of Goods Sold, Stock on Hand and Sales all being recorded in the correct period with the Unleashed / Xero integration and automated journals

  • Integration with Shopify meaning - making the most of Shopify’s functional platform with the financial detail being available in Unleashed

  • Being able to make better pricing decisions from having visibility over margins

  • Ability to keep track of quantity of stock on hand in different locations

  • Better tools to forecast ideal stock levels, with a consistent source of truth for Stock on Hand figures and sell through quantities

Heidi was organised, on to it, offered great support to myself and my team when onboarding and implementing the system. She dealt with our time restraints with ease and nothing was ever too much of a problem. We researched multiple inventory systems, and asked our community what they recommended. Unleashed came in with the top recommendations. It’s intuitive and easy to navigate. Heidi has been amazing at tweaking things within Unleashed to fit our business, and also continues to offer support should we need it.
